description
The Joint Intelligence Training Group (JITG formerly DISC) is responsible via Director Cyber, Intelligence and Information Integration (DCI3-2*) and Chief of Defence Intelligence (CDI -3*) to Commander Joint Forces Command (Comd JFC -4*) for the design, assurance and delivery of all Defence security, intelligence, photographic and geospatial intelligence training.
Our Mission is to provide innovative and responsive training to fulfill current and future Defence and national requirements across the disciplines of Intelligence.
Our Vision is to be recognised nationally and internationally for the excellence of intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, geospatial, photographic and security training, for the outstanding quality of the trainee experience and for the vital contribution that our training makes to future Defence Capability and operations.
Current CDI is of the opinion that modernising intelligence training is one of the key pillars he wishes to see incorporated in the next SDSR.
The requirement is to undertake a fundamental review of the conduct of all training design, assurance and delivery delivered at Chicksands against the tasks set for JITG and make recommendations as to the business configuration and resources necessary to achieve the mission and specifically the appropriateness of engaging commercial support within the Defence School of Intelligence.
