description
The Foundation awarded 8 contracts for regional governance and trusteeship support from regions across the Further Education (FE) and skills sector.
Last year, the Foundation funded a Regional Support Programme via the Association of Colleges (AoC), which comprised mainly of events to support governors and clerks in colleges, especially around induction. The regional programme demonstrated a wide degree of reach with representatives from 290 colleges, 1293 governors, 512 clerks and 805 senior leadership teams attending events. The Foundation sought to fund projects, events and inductions that:
- increased the effectiveness of boards
- captured learning from post Area Review impacts on governance; and
- shared best practice from across the private and public sector.
