'Each of the universities of Edinburgh, Cambridge, Imperial College London, Newcastle & Manchester intends to procure an integrated single bore MRI PET human clinical scanners with collaborative research, development and innovation services as part of the MRC UK Dementia Platform collaboration. The Open Procedure will conclude in the appointment of suppliers by the University of Edinburgh pursuant to a Framework Agreement, followed by five individual Mini Competitions undertaken independently by each of the universities, over the duration of the Framework Agreement. The University of Edinburgh shall lead and coordinate the Framework Agreement Invitation to Tender, Framework offer assessments, formal Framework Award and Stand Still Period (Alcatel) in accordance with its obligations under the Public Procurement Directives. Once the Framework Agreement Stand Still Period has been completed, each university shall be free to undertake a Mini Competition in accordance with the Framework Agreement and its own Institutional policies.'
