description

NHS Brent Clinical Commissioning Group ('the CCG') wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced providers to submit tenders for GP Extended Access Services for patients registered with a Brent GP.

All London CCGs have successfully established extended access services which allow for 8-8 7 day a week GP services for their local populations. London has achieved this ahead of the rest of the rest of the country and is in a good position to move forward in the continued delivery of a joined up service which provides choice, additional capacity to the system, supports improved access and outcomes for its population.

Core requirements in regard to the extended access service include:

Ensuring a full 8-8 7 day a week service with same day and pre bookable appointments available each day, which are delivered in locations and at levels that are evidence based and meet local need.
Ensuring effective communications to patients as to how services can be accessed and supporting ease of access through training and awareness of staff who are directing and booking patients into the service.
Use of digital approaches to support new models of care.
Effective connection to other system services enabling patients to receive the right care with the right professional including access from and to other primary care and general practice services such as urgent care.

The CCG anticipates awarding a contract for 2 years with the option of a further discretionary 1 year extension. The CCG requires full service commencement from 1 November 2018. The maximum potential value of this contract is £5.25 million over 3 years.

The Services to which this Procurement relates fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the "Regulations"). As such, the procurement of the Services is being run as a bespoke, single-stage application process akin to the Open Procedure. Brent CCG does not intend to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations, save those applicable to Schedule 3 services. This opportunity is also being advertised in OJEU.

Potential Bidders, intending to participate through the procurement process are now invited to register an interest and access the procurement documents (QQ, Service Specification, Bidder Instructions etc.) via the electronic procurement portal EU-Supply available at https://nhssbs.eu-supply.com.
