CBC-0566-T-TS Houghton Hall Park Play Provision

Play provision at Houghton Hall Park - Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking a contractor for the supply and installation of play facilities to create five play sites which will form a play trail within Houghton Hall Park, Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire.

The contractor is invited to provide a price for the supply and installation of items of play equipment and appropriate safety surfacing that will form a play trail within Houghton Hall Park, which is currently undergoing an HLF funded restoration. It should be noted that the principal requirement for equipment proposed is that each piece of equipment should be made from durable, sustainably sourced timber with a guarantee life of 10 years minimum. All moving parts should be guaranteed for a minimum of 2 years.

The appointed play company will have to liaise closely with a Principal Landscape Contractor who will be appointed in February 2016 to carry out landscape works in Houghton Hall Park as part of an 11 month contract from March 2016 – February 2017. It is anticipated that installation of play equipment will take place towards the end of that period but a detailed programme of works will need to be agreed between the client, the Principal Landscape Contractor and the appointed play contractor before work starts.
