Market Place carpark resurfacing

Quotes are invited for the re-surfacing, and white/yellow lining of the carpark owned by Market Lavington Parish Council, in the Market Place, Market Lavington, Wiltshire (SN10 4AH).

The carpark is in two sections - either side of two raised beds, and tree in the middle. There is access to the rear of the Co-op store and housing from the carpark, which will need to be jointly managed during the project. It should also be noted that the carpark is located within the Market Lavington Conservation Area.

Specification:

To remove all existing raised metal studs that currently designate the parking spaces

Re-set and reposition existing setts (where required) along the entrance edge of the carpark

Edge plane all perimeters of the carpark, removing existing high spots (where required)

Create a ramped section up to pavement near entrance of carpark (as annotated on the accompanying map)

Sweep clean, removing and disposing responsibly of all spoil

To apply a bond coat of Colbond 50 (hand applied) and to provide and lay by hand 30mm average thickness of SMA 10 Stone Mastic Asphalt Surface Course

Mark out in white thermoplastic 18 parking bays (approx.)

Mark out in yellow thermoplastic 2 disabled parking bays

Mark out in yellow thermoplastic hatching, and no parking markings at rear entrance to Co-op store, and feathered area in front of end bungalow

All white/yellow marking/lining is to be anti-slip. Exact colour and width of lining to be agreed
