description
Knowsley Council wish to commission an organisation to deliver Short Breaks activities for the 2018 school summer holidays (maximum of a 6 week period, starting during w/c 23rd July 2018 and ending during w/c 27th August 2018).
Children and young people accessing short breaks have a wide range of needs, and therefore it is anticipated that the Service Provider will be able to offer a flexible and personalised service to meet the individual needs of each child.
Needs to be met, include:
| • | Learning disabilities |
| • | Physical disabilities |
| • | Sensory impairments |
| • | Complex health needs |
| • | Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) |
| • | Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) |
| • | Associated challenging behaviours. |
The Provider should aim to provide services that meet the needs of all of the above. However, it is important to note that the predominant category of need that we find in attendance at our current short breaks provision is those children with (or awaiting a diagnosis of) Autism, and/or associated challenging behaviours.
