Woodside Refuge Transformer Renewal

SCOPE of WORKS

This is a call off from the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Framework ? 2013 - 2017

To appoint a Contractor to carry out the supply an installation of 1 new high voltage transformers along with the removal and safe disposal of the redundant transformer and equipment.

As the transformer to be replaced has been isolated the replacement unit needs to be replaced urgently and the Contractor will be required to search all available options to ensure the transformer is replaced ASAP. The anticipated delivery is to be stated in pricing schedule 7.1 and this must be a realistic estimate. The price and delivery will be both taken into account when the Contract is awarded.

Disconnect the HV, LV, monitoring and earth bonding cables from a 400kVA oil filled transformer which is leaking oil.

Remove from site utilising a large crane and dispose of as per WEEE regulations. Supply and install a NEW 315kVA MIDEL filled transform craned into position. Re ? connect HV, LV, monitoring and earth bonding cables. It is envisaged that all existing cables will be of sufficient length but will require re- glanding. Fully test transformer and cables and produce O&M manual with all relevant data.
