Northumberland County Council's (NCC) Family Group Conferencing (FGC) Service seeks to support a wide range of families which includes but is not exclusive to:
| • | the cohort of children and families who have traditionally benefited from this service and which has focussed on families with teenagers |
| • | families with an unborn child or within the 0-5 age range who are receiving support from our early help locality teams and where there are concerns regarding mental health and substance misuse |
The aim is to provide short term assistance to families requiring additional support as part of a range of early intervention and prevention services designed to prevent children becoming "looked after". The service will be required throughout Northumberland.
