Southend’s current Mental Health Advocacy contract incorporates advocacy for people with Aspergers. The service was commissioned in 2013 to meet the statutory requirements for Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) and IMCA DOLS . This contract ends 31 March 2016.
Southend’s Integrated Commissioning Team is inviting expressions of interest to deliver its Mental Health and Aspergers Advocacy service between 1 April 2016 and 30 September 2016.
The Service will give a provider valuable insight into the delivery of the statutory function while commissioners remodel Southend’s Healthwatch and Advocacy services which will run from 1 October 2016.
The service will provide a professional advocacy service for adults with mental health conditions (inclusive of Mental Health, IMHA, IMCA & IMCA DOLS) as well as those who have Aspergers. The Service must provide support to these individuals to enable them to be heard.
