Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group ('BSW CCG') seeks to commission a Community Vasectomy Service via an Any Qualified Provider ('AQP') process.

The Vasectomy Service will be a complete holistic patient focused approach and include, pre-vasectomy counselling, surgical operation and post-vasectomy testing and will be available to patients registered with GP's in Bath and North East Somerset (Bath City, Norton Radstock and Keynsham / Chew Valley) and West Wiltshire (Bradford on Avon and Melksham and Trowbridge) areas who are members of the BSW Clinical Commissioning Group.

The main aims of The Service are:

oTo provide a high quality, cost effective, local community vasectomy service.
oTo improve access and convenience for patients.
oTo provide a complete holistic patient focused care package; including pre and post-operative care, information, advice and counselling.
oTo provide an opportunity for men's Health Promotion.
oTo provide services that comply with accepted best practice, relevant accreditation processes, relevant guidelines in clinical practice and robust governance arrangements.
oTo ensure consistent and continuous care between health professionals, and effective and efficient communication.

The contract will be awarded on an NHS Standard Contract for an initial 3 years with a possible extension of any period up to further 2 years.

Bidders should note that Any Qualified Provider ('AQP') contracts let as part of this process will not guarantee any business for accredited providers.

This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners.

The services are healthcare services falling within Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations") which are not subject to the full regime of the Regulations, but is instead governed by the "Light Touch Regime" contained within Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Regulations (Regulations 74 to 77).

The contract value of this procurement is under the Light Touch Regime threshold and therefore the rules of this Regime do not apply.
