Invitation to tender for Adoption Support Services, which must provide a range of flexible, well communicated and accessible support services to adults and children affected by adoption and Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs) to improve their outcomes – to include:
| • | Advice and support |
| • | Therapeutic counselling and attachment focused therapy |
| • | Telephone Helpline |
The service will:
| • | provide a helpdesk/advice line offering support and advice to those affected by adoption |
| • | provide written information and a website offering support |
| • | provide therapeutic counselling to birthparents and other birth relatives of children where there is a plan for adoption or is being considered |
| • | provide a flexible, well communicated and accessible service to those affected by adoption. |
| • | provide a service appropriate to the level of need of the service user whilst ensuring all service users referred are supported. |
| • | accept all referrals, assess the level of need, monitor, review and enable service users to exit the service in a timely manner. |
The services provided should be based on an accurate assessment of individual needs, relevant therapeutic intervention, and should be timely and bring about a positive impact to the lives of service users.

This Special Guardianship Order Services, are being piloted for one year but may be extended further (funding permitted).
Please note that Suffolk County Council is a member of the Adopt East Regional Partnership. Future service delivery will be informed by the development of this partnership, which may impact on this contract
