description

NHS Newham Clinical Commissioning Group and the London Borough of Newham are keen to test the potential provider market for delivery of Integrated Children's Community Health Services, as part of our transformational joint commissioning approach.

The service is expected to provide innovative model/s of Integrated Children's Community Health Services, comprising (not an exhaustive list) Community Nursing, Therapies (Speech and Language,

Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy), Community Paediatrics, Health Visiting, Continence, Audiology, Sleep Services, Post-Diagnosis Support, Screening and Child Development Services for children and young people from 0 to 19 years old delivered in schools and colleges, child's family home, local health settings, Best Start in Life 0-5 hubs (including children's centres) or other appropriate community settings.

The service will work as part of an integrated approach to service delivery alongside other Local Authority children's services (social care integrated neighbourhood working teams,– Best Start in Life 0-5 Hubs (including children's centres)), GP/ primary care and schools, plus interfacing with the local General Hospital (acute paediatrics, planned and unplanned care). The total value of the services is estimated at between 5 000 000 GBP and 12 000 000 GBP per annum. The anticipated duration of any resulting contract will be 3 years, with extension options of up to a further 2 years.

Potential providers with relevant technical capability and experience to deliver this service are invited to express an interest in this market testing exercise by sending an e-mail to WELCPOD-procurement@nelcsu.nhs.uk

Potential providers will have the opportunity to attend two engagement events, the first via our Future Generations community co-production transformation approach (http://www.newhamccg.nhs.uk/GetInvolved/futuregeneration.htm) on 28th January, where providers can experience directly our new ways of working and learn more about child health in Newham, and then a second event on 5th February targeted specifically at providers to learn more about the proposed procurement.

Please contact Hiran Karunaratna at this email address ( WELCPOD-procurement@nelcsu.nhs.uk) for further details about these events and booking.

Please note that this is a market testing exercise to inform the organisations' decision making process, not a call for competition. This does not commit the CCG or the London Borough of Newham to a carry out a procurement process.

Bidders who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice should we decide to procure this service and publish a Contract Notice (advert) for this requirement.
