description
NHS South of England Procurement Services, acting on behalf of NHS Swale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) (the Commissioner) is commencing an AQP Offer for the provision of MSK Physiotherapy Services for NHS Swale CCG patients.
Please note that this is a reopening of the window for new providers to apply and a reaccreditation/due diligence exercise for already accredited AQP MSK Physiotherapy service providers to Swale CCG. Therefore, all providers that wish to provide the service to Swale CCG from 01 December 2016 must respond to this procurement whether new providers or providers already providing this service.
The MSK physiotherapy service will provide local, high quality, responsive and easily accessible services for those affected with MSK problems. Timely intervention by skilled, experienced therapists will reduce demand on secondary care, thereby freeing up capacity to see those patients who need specialist and consultant level input.
The CCG will have regular performance meetings (quarterly) with accredited AQP providers to review performance of the service. It is expected that maintaining an AQP model will allow the current patient pathway for MSK Physiotherapy services to remain and will maintain patient choice to local physiotherapy services. Please note that as this is an AQP there are no guaranteed or indicative volumes of activity within the contract.
