Construction of a two storey courtyard infill extension at Bishop Justus Church of England School

Construction of a two storey courtyard infill extension at Bishop Justus Church of England School, Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley, BR2 8HZ for The London Borough of Bromley.

The proposed works are shown on the existing and proposed drawings issued with the PQQ.

The extension will comprise four General Teaching Rooms constructed over part of an existing courtyard, with two on the ground floor (56m2 and 50m2) and two on the first floor (56m2 and 65m2), accessed from an existing corridor. The existing school building was constructed in 2004.

The contractor’s works will include completion of the detailed design beyond RIBA Stage 4, and construction of the extension under the JCT Design & Build 2011, including all builders’ works and M&E works including connection into the existing school systems.

Works will be undertaken within the occupied secondary school site.

Appointment of the successful contractor is anticipated in May 2016, with completion of a minimum of two General Teaching Rooms for occupation from 5th September 2016 and overall completion of the works by 30th October 2016.
