description
This report presents the procurement process undertaken for the Democratic Education multi-lot and seeks approval to award contracts to the recommended suppliers for each Lot. The objective of this procurement exercise was to secure a range of delivery partners with the expertise to provide citizenship and political education across the UK. The is intended to support young people's understanding of democracy, citizenship, and participation, while ensuring equality of access and innovation in delivery. Following a compliant tender process under the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), seven Lots have been awarded. In three Lots, multiple suppliers were appointed under a taxi rank arrangement, providing the Commission with flexibility. The maximum total budget for Year 1 is £746,000, with up to £3.3m expected across the full contract period (3-5 years). Budgets were allocated per Lot as published in the ITT, and awards remain within these caps.
