description
Clifford Castle, Herefordshire was founded in 1069-71 though the surviving masonry dates from early 13th Century. It consists of a large outer bailey with an outer gatehouse motte with polygonal shell keep. The condition of this scheduled ancient monument is very poor with collapsed sections of walling much heavily overgrown with ivy and tree growth. .
Scope of Work:
The works include stabilisation and consolidation of the standing structures.
