Approved Provider list for the provision of Regulation 44 Visitors in Worcestershire

This Tender is to identify suitable individuals and/or organisations to be placed on a list of Approved Providers of Regulation 44 Visitors in Worcestershire. Regulation 44 Visitors are required for both Worcestershire County Council and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust residential provision, in accordance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Part 6 - Monitoring and Reviewing Childrens Homes, Section 43.

Worcestershire County Council currently has 11 children's homes which require monthly independent visits. The number of homes may increase / decrease over the life of the contract. Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust currently have 2 short breaks provisions for children and young people who have complex health needs and physical disabilities. We are looking to appoint 4 visitors to cover the county.

Applications will be welcomed from individuals/companies with either experience of children's residential home management or Ofsted inspections. Applications from current managers of agency residential homes will not be considered, due to the potential for conflict of interest.

The fee payable to the Contractor will be fixed at £250.00 to include the visit, travelling time, any associated meetings and a written report, template to be agreed by Worcestershire County Council. Mileage will be included within the above fixed fee.
