description

The University of Brighton requires the provision of cleaning services for its residential accommodation throughout the academic year and the summer vacation period to include periodic deep cleaning.

The academic year runs from September through to June. Once students start to leave the halls in June, a 'deep' clean of all the accommodation is required. Summer vacation bookings start at the beginning of July and continue through to around mid to late September. Regular servicing of rooms is required throughout this time and involves weekend working.

All rooms should be left clean and ready for occupation by new students arriving in late September.

A cleaning service is currently provided in the residences by a mix of university staff and contracted staff, and this will continue in some of the blocks of accommodation. These blocks are not included in this tender and the two sets of staff will remain separate.
