description
The General Dental Council is looking for a suitably qualified supplier to undertake some research into the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 on dental professionals. The objectives of the research are to understand emerging and ongoing impacts of COVID-19 and their evolution over time on: -Dental professionals' financial circumstances and working patterns (from personal and business perspectives);
-Dental professionals' wellbeing
-Dental professionals' knowledge, skills and experience (were, and are they now in the right place with the right skills, education, training, guidance, support and equipment to be confident about working to standards and protecting themselves and the public?);
-Dental professionals' ability to provide services to the public;
-Dental professionals' perspectives on the public's use of dental services and their confidence in them;
-Dental professionals' perceptions and views of what has worked and what will work best in helping the industry recover;
-What GDC and others have done and can do in the future to support registrants to prepare for similar events going forward;
-Changes in the dental sectors (NHS, private, mixed), in different registrant groups (dentists and DCPs), in relation to different types of dental treatment (emergency, elective, orthodontic and cosmetic), and in relation to sub-sector types for cosmetic dental treatments.
