description
Superfast Dorset is a pan Dorset digital partnership of all Local Authorities and the Local Enterprise Partnership delivering the Local Broadband Plan and Digital Infrastructure Strategy to improve fixed line digital access to residents of Dorset Poole and Bournemouth.
Dorset seeks a supplier to provide Next Generation Access (NGA) broadband infrastructure to deliver ultrafast (300Mbps) broadband services to as many premises as possible, with businesses and high priority areas the desired focus of ultrafast broadband deployments. The Solution must 'uplift' the digital connectivity of as many premises possible by December 2017.
The supplier will support Superfast Dorset to stimulate significant economic growth, and a range of social benefits across rural and urban communities and support the delivery of public services through digital channels.
Full details of the requirement, strategy and minimum outputs are provided in the ITT documentation that is available from the web address: https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk/
Additional information: Expression of Interests (EOI) and sign a Code of Conduct agreement must be submitted by 17:00 7.10.2016, to be included in the formal invitation to tender. The Expression of Interest and Code of Conduct must use the template forms provided on the web address: https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk/
All organisations that submit an EOI will then be able to submit a formal tender for this opportunity. Tenders must be received by 14:00 2.12.2016. A Gap Funding model will be used. Funding is only available for the investment gap between deployment cost of providers infrastructure and revenue generated from deployment to make it commercially viable. Potential value is £8,900,000 if additional funding becomes available as described in contract schedule 5.4 in Part 3 of this ITT. Confirmed funding at start of contract is £3,900,000.
