21-025 External Catering Waleswood Camp Site

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) is inviting bids from a number of organisations who are able to provide services that meet RMBC's current needs for the provision of external catering to camping customers at Waleswood Caravan and Camping Park, for a 3-month pilot period, under a concessions arrangement.

Please note, this is a pilot scheme only. It is envisaged that if successful, another tender process will be undertaken by the Council for a longer-term period.

The dates for supply are between 28th May 2021 and 29th August 2021. The days for supply are Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holiday Sundays.

RMBC are looking for 'themed' food as opposed to food that campers would traditionally bring and cook or barbeque themselves, for example burgers and hot dogs. Instead, they would like to offer customers high quality alternatives and themed food evenings.

The campsite is the busiest in the spring / summer months on weekends and has 163 pitches with up to 6 people per pitch. The site is a high quality 5 pennant gold award campsite and attracts families and couples for short breaks and longer holidays.

The successful vendor(s) will supply the vehicle(s)/unit(s) and all stock and will pay a fee to the Council for the rights to occupy the site plus a commission based on takings.
