The purpose of the contract is to upgrade existing pathways to eliminate trip hazards and mitigate tree root intrusion, while creating a more open and inclusive setting around the bandstand.
The works include:
| • | Rationalise and realign pathways to provide smooth, level surfaces. |
| • | Realign path section to protect mature trees and maintain canopy cover, preserving ecological value. |
| • | Opening up the bandstand area to improve sightlines and create a multifunctional space suitable for events, performances, and informal gatherings |
| • | Using sustainable, permeable paving materials in secondary paths to reduce surface water runoff and support natural drainage. |
