Rotherham Borough Council is developing a new Caravan Site at Rother Valley Country Park (Waleswood Caravan and Camping Park) as part of efforts to promote the visitor economy, to enhance the image of the borough as an attractive and welcoming place, and to generate income that will contribute to net budget savings.
Income projections depend on the quality of facilities and service at the site. The availability of Wi-Fi for customers has been identified as an essential requirement in this regard, both through consultation with potential users and comparison with other high quality caravan and camping sites. Furthermore, an internet connection is required at the caravan site for access by staff to the Council's network, and for the operation of security systems.
