Provision of North Yorkshire Integrated Domestic Abuse Services

North Yorkshire County Council wishes to award a contract for the provision of Domestic Abuse Refuge Support Service (Women and Children), Making Safe Victims Floating Support Service, and Children & Young Peoples Therapeutic Service throughout North Yorkshire.

The principal aim of the Service(s) is to tackle domestic abuse and deliver outcome focussed integrated domestic abuse service(s) to high and medium risk victims/survivors and members of their household, including children. The service(s) will enable victims/survivors and their families to make informed choices about their safety, health, housing and any other identified outcome needs by providing them with:-

emergency accommodation with support (Refuge Provision) and/or

floating support within their own accommodation whilst either rehousing the perpetrator and offering support to manage their behaviour or working with both victim/survivor and perpetrator whilst living together(Making Safe)

an intervention for children and young people with a variety of difficulties caused by domestic abuse including emotional or behavioural difficulties, depression, fear, anxiety, relationship difficulties and children not realising their full potential, academically or socially, offering them the opportunity to explore their feelings around domestic abuse in a safe and supportive environment(Children & Young Peoples Therapeutic Service).

The Service(s) will provide fair and equitable services to victims/survivors and children who may have experienced in the past or still be experiencing domestic abuse.

The Service is being jointly commissioned by the Supporting People Partnership of North Yorkshire which includes North Yorkshire County Council Directorates ( Health and Adult Services (HAS), including Public Health, and Children and Young People), Probation, Health and the seven North Yorkshire District and Borough Councils, namely:- Craven District Council, Hambleton District Council, Harrogate Borough Council, Richmondshire District Council, Ryedale District Council, Scarborough Borough Council and Selby District Council; together referred to as the Partnership with North Yorkshire County Council appointed to act as the lead for the commissioning of the service(s).
