description
This programme is designed to provide eligible participants with an opportunity to experience the rapidly developing digital industry. The programme should be delivered over a period of 2 weeks.
As a result of the current lockdown restrictions, the provision will be delivered remotely. Service providers must outline in their Tender details of the resources, equipment, materials and methods that will be utilised to engage and motivate participants particularly those who may find this form of learning difficult.
Participants should have the option to choose a discipline (Game, Design, Video Production or Web) and receive training so that they become familiar with the software. They should also have an opportunity to put their new skills into practice, by working on a project.
Providers must include in their Tenders a clear outline of how they will deliver elements such as:
- oIntroduction to software
- oInterpreting a client's brief
- oFamiliarisation with terminology (e.g. design eye)
- oUnderstanding projects, planning, delivery, reviewing and evaluating
- oWorking as part of a team
- oWorking on an identified project utilising the skills gained
Participants should have an opportunity to undertake an ASDAN qualification which should reflect the work they have undertaken.
In addition, there should be a guaranteed interview at the end of the programme for an apprenticeship with the Service Provider.
