The provision of all necessary People, Equipment, Plant and Materials necessary to do all the work to achieve completion in respect of the ground investigation works at Victoria Embankment Foreshore Project

oMobilisation/ Demobilisation of all plant, tools and materials required for delivering the work
oVisit 1 - Construction / Installation of 2 vertical boreholes with recovery cores adjacent to the main shaft. Installed from 98mATD (working platform) to 51mATD, Depth of 47 metres.
oVisit 2 - Construction/ Installation sub vertical boreholes (probe drilling) from within the shaft, up to an angle of 15 degrees. Total of 9 number holes to be drilled at a depth of 12m, from level 75mATD.
oVisit 3 - Construction/ Installation sub vertical boreholes (probe drilling) from within the shaft, up to an angle of 15 degrees. Total of 9 number holes to be drilled at a depth of 12m, from level 63mATD.
oVisit 4 (optional) - Tunnel probe drilling 7 number horizontal tunnel probes at a diameter of 50mm, up to variable angle TBC and to a depth of between 10 and 15 metres.
oAll Installation, commissioning and maintenance of all boreholes / probe drilling.
oProcurement, supply, fabrication, delivery and offloading of materials, plant and labour required for the installation of boreholes / probe drilling.
oTesting according to works information.
oSupply of any discharge tanks or similar and maintenance of this equipment if required to carry out the subcontract works.
oGeotechnical Laboratory Testing and resultant Factual Report.

Proposed terms of contract: NEC3 Option A, secondary options to be agreed.

Factors to be considered during selection:

  1. Cost
  2. Previous Tideway experience required or allowance to be made in order to comply with Tideway requirements in terms of equipment, staff, logistics or provide evidences of working on projects of similar scope, scale and standards.
  3. Provide evidences of drilling equipment compliance with NRMM standards (min IIIB engine emissions)
  4. Company size and trading area

We are working for FLO (Ferrovial and Laing O'Rourke JV) on Victoria Embankment (Tideway Central) with our scope being sinking a 15 m diam shaft and 50 m deep in the Thames foreshore.
