description

Weston Area Health NHS Trust has been reviewing different methods to reduce the Trust demand of mains electricity during high demand periods and, where possible, generate income. The Trust has an opportunity for income generation by using both of its generators to supply the National Grid, as required. The Trust intends to run the generators during high demand periods (TRIADS) to avoid high transition charges and then make the generators available as and when the National Grid has a requirement for additional generation (STOR).

To facilitate this the Trust has decided to procure Demand Side Response Services via a Further Competition under CCS Framework RM3792. The procurement will be undertaken via the uk.eu-supply.com e-tendering portal.
