Group Activities for children and young people with sensory loss

The contract aims to provide a range of fun and positive experiences for young people aged 11-19 years who have a single or dual sensory impairment and additional complex needs.

The Key aspects of good performance are

  • Flexibility: Flexible service to meet (changing) child and family needs.
  • Independence: To build on self-esteem and independence skills by supporting young people with these specific needs; to build friendships and social opportunities.
  • Participation involving parents, carer's and young people with single or dual sensory impairment and other complex needs in the planning, commissioning and delivery of services.
  • Inclusion: To promote social inclusion and community participation with the (changing) needs of young people with single or dual sensory impairment and other complex needs.
  • Feedback: Clear, published procedures for complaints, comments and compliments.

Additional information: This is an early engagement exercise to understand potential interest in a future tender opportunity. This is NOT a call for competition.
