The Wave Centre, Maryport - Swimming Pool and Associated Facilities Extension

The works for The Wave Centre, Maryport - Swimming Pool and Associated Facilities Extension, will be tendered in two stages and further details are outlined in the Tender documents.

Details of Process For the avoidance of doubt, the procurement process, is as follows:-

• 1.Stage 1 Tender
• a.Stage 1 Tender document prepared, and will include:-
• i.Preliminaries
• ii.Description and indication of the works
• iii.Description of the contractual arrangements
• iv.Percentage for Overhead and Profit, and which will be utilised to model individual tenders against each other
• v.Indicative Contract Sum Analysis for the scheme to enable comparison of tenders
• vi.This is to allow a clearer understanding of the scope by the tenderer, and to provide a basis for evaluation and comparison, as well as to inform Stage 2 Tender costing. This cost plan will be benchmarked and utised in the scoring of the tender cost element
• vii.Request for Quality information
• b.Review of tenders will be undertaken, and meetings held with at least 2 of the tenderers, prior to confirmation of a preferred bidder(s) to go forward to Stage 2

• 2.Stage 2 Tender
• a.Development and finalisation of the Design during Pre-commencement period
• b.Stage 2 Pricing document prepared, and will include:-
• i.Preliminaries
• ii.Contract Sum Analysis for all works
• iii.Pricing undertaken by tenderer in accordance with Stage 1 pricing
• c.A firm lump sum cost agreed with the tenderer
• d.Contract documents prepared on basis of agreed cost/contract sum

The contract will be for 1 year.

Operators are now being formally invited to meet this requirement and the purpose of the documentation supplied is to provide the necessary information to enable Tenderers to submit a response.
