The works include:
assessment of current wiring/cabling to determine that which can be left in-situ and continue to be used
servicing of the door and closure/locking mechanisms
replacement of necessary mechanical parts to ensure the ongoing functionality of the door including closure/locking mechanisms.
replacement of component parts of the electronic aspect of the door entry system to ensure the ongoing functionality of the system, including the call panel and as required, wiring/cabling.
replacement of the handsets within individual flats.
The project will take place at 3 residential housing estates in London owned by the City of London Corporation. The estates are Golden Lane Estate, London EC1; Holloway Estate, London N7 and the York Way Estate, London N7. The Golden Lane Estate is listed at Grade II, with one block Crescent House listed at II*.
